International Movement for Advancement of Education, Culture, Social and Economic Development (IMAECSED) is a non-profit civil society organization committed to advancing inclusive, equitable and sustainable development. Since its establishment, the organization has worked to empower vulnerable and marginalized communities by promoting access to quality education, health, social protection, livelihood opportunities and civic participation. Through its programmes and advocacy, IMAECSED seeks to help individuals and communities become informed, self-reliant and active contributors to society.
Guided by the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations, IMAECSED works in alignment with global efforts to advance human rights, social justice, environmental sustainability and economic development. The organization engages with international frameworks and platforms relevant to education, culture, public health, climate action, gender equality, anti-trafficking, drug prevention, anti-corruption and community development.
Since 1995, IMAECSED has organized seminars, workshops, training camps, awareness campaigns and community-based initiatives on United Nations themes and other pressing social and development issues. Its work includes continuous engagement with United Nations bodies, international organizations, civil society networks and development forums, including areas connected to OHCHR, UNEP, UNODC, UN DESA, ILO, UNCTAD, UNESCO, UNAIDS, IFAD, the World Bank, IMF, UN Volunteers and other relevant mechanisms.
IMAECSED has been granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), a formal framework that enables eligible non-governmental organizations to contribute to the work of the United Nations through civil society participation. The organization also maintains engagement with a range of international and civil society platforms, including UNCTAD, UNESCO, UNODC, CIVICUS, WSSCC, UNFCCC and the United Nations Global Compact. Through these partnerships and networks, IMAECSED continues to strengthen its contribution to sustainable development, community empowerment and the protection of vulnerable populations.

Our Mission is to bring the promise of the UN's Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals to the grassroots, where change matters most. We defend rights, honour labour, protect the environment, and challenge corruption so that every community can share in the benefits of development.
VISION
A fair and sustainable world in which every person, regardless of gender, origin or circumstance, can live in safety, dignity, and equality, and in which civil society, business and government stand together in partnership for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
OBJECTIVES
Our objectives are to protect and promote human rights at the grassroots level while advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. We work to strengthen climate resilience and disaster preparedness in vulnerable communities, end child and forced labour, and uphold decent work for all.

Founder-Chairman of IMAECSED and principal author of the organisation’s Communications of Engagement to the UN Global Compact, Mr. Das has guided IMAECSED’s human rights, anti-corruption and sustainable development programming since its founding in 1995. He leads the organisation’s engagement with the United Nations and its partner institutions worldwide.

Vice Chairman
As Vice Chairman, Mr. Ganesan works alongside the Chairman to steer IMAECSED’s programmes and international partnerships, supporting the organisation’s continued growth and its collaboration with civil society institutions worldwide. With a background in international human rights law and long-standing community experience, he works to strengthen migrant rights, fair labour, and inclusive development.
