Our active team leads programming on women’s empowerment, gender equality, and community participation, mobilising members and stakeholders around equality and justice for all genders, especially from indigenous communities.
IMAECSED campaigns for emissions reduction in line with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C target, raises community awareness of resource depletion and pollution, and supports disaster-affected communities in building resilience to the growing climate emergency.
We work to strengthen civic participation by connecting grassroots communities with global institutions, sharing knowledge, building coalitions, and ensuring local voices are heard in international decision-making.
IMAECSED’s grassroots work is amplified through active collaboration with
international bodies, coalitions and human rights institutions across the world.
We partner with AFRIW e.V., Berlin, Germany, a non-profit NGO, to advance joint research and awareness on migration and human rights, strengthening the evidence base for advocacy on both sides of the partnership.
We work closely with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), UNODC, UNCTAD (Observer status), ILO, UNEP, UNAIDS, UN DESA, and a wide network of global human rights organisations.
As a non-business participant of the UN Global Compact, IMAECSED is continuously engaging with relevant stakeholders, affirming our continued support for its Ten Principles, and IMAECSED invites business actors to join us in extending the benefits of economic and social development to all.
